We get to work on some pretty interesting projects, but this one’s really up there.
Recently, we helped bring a bit of Hollywood magic to life at Melbourne Zoo for the Dinos at the Zoo installation.
Walking through the exhibit, it’s easy to get caught up in it. Dinosaurs moving, turning, and reacting like they’ve just stepped out of a movie.
And here’s the part we love, all that movement is powered by compressed air.
Quiet, controlled, and reliable… exactly how it should be.
We even helped fit out one of the more “dramatic” features, a water line to give a certain dinosaur its famous spitting action.
But here’s a little secret… it’s not exactly accurate.
The Dilophosaurus (above) didn’t actually spit poison or flare out a neck frill like you see in Jurassic Park. That’s pure Hollywood.
Still, seeing kids light up when it happens?
Worth it. It’s not every day compressed air gets to play a part in something this fun.
And honestly, projects like this are a good reminder, sometimes the best jobs are the ones that make people smile.
